Koyasan Shukubo Saizenin - Koyasan

Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. Originally developed as a lodging for the temples’ pilgrims, it conducts Buddhist services every morning that guests can attend. Nankai Koyasan Train Station is a 15-minute drive away.

Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding, each room comes with a flat-screen TV and a seating area. A safety deposit box is also provided.

Kansai International Airport is 40 km away. Nankai Namba Train Station in Osaka is a 2-hour train ride from the proprety.

Healthy vegetarian meals are served in the guest room or in the dining room for dinner and breakfast.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:00.

Please note that the property is pilgrims lodgings in a temple. Its not a regular hotel, inn or guesthouse.

The property recommends guests come to Koyasan and to the property with light luggage, due to steep hills and stairs in the area.

The Koyasan mountainous area is generally a lot cooler than other areas. The property recommends guests bring enough clothes.

The property strongly recommends guests book meal-inclusive rates, or to bring own food. Dinner requests on-site cannot be accommodated. Dinner options in the vicinity are limited, and do not offer an English menu.

Guests with food allergies or other dietary restrictions should inform the property in advance.

The propertys on-site public bath is open from 16:00-21:00. Specific time may be allocated depending on availability.
